After losing for 5 years in a row to Oklahoma, Texas came into this game the heavy favorite. But, this is a rivalry game, and one of those you wait to count as a win until the “W” is posted. Well, the Longhorns came out fast a furious and destroyed Oklahoma from the beginning. It was so nice to sit back and enjoy a stomping of Oklahoma after so many years of disappointment. This also came on a day when Georgia whipped Tennessee. These two games happen the same day every year and always on or around my birthday. For the first time since I attended both schools, both teams won on the same day. This was also a major hurdle in Texas’ road to the Rose Bowl this year.
